Thomas Slater

Thomas Slater is a Partner of the A&M Capital Strategic Investment Fund.

Prior to joining A&M Capital , Mr. Slater was a Senior Portfolio Manager of APG Asset Management, a Dutch pension capital investor, where he helped build from scratch an in-house co-investment business. Over his six years at APG, Mr. Slater led the underwriting of 30 investments totaling $2 billion of committed capital.

Previously, Mr. Slater spent 10 years at middle market buyout firms The Rhône Group and Metalmark Capital. Mr. Slater started his career in the investment banking and corporate banking divisions of Merrill Lynch and Brown Brothers Harriman & Company focusing on M&A as well as debt and equity issuance underwriting.

Mr. Slater has an MBA with honors in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA cum laude in History and French from Amherst College. He loves living in CT and when not at his desk can be found with his three children on the golf course, tennis court or on the Sound.
